We are all looking forward to the two music concerts in the next two weeks. We really hope that everyone involved in learning an instrument will be participating in this annual event!

If your child plays a musical instrument - have they received a letter for our summer concerts?

The Prince of Wales musical Soiree and second concert/assembly

If your child plays an instrument and is taught at school they should have received a letter to perform in our summer concerts.

You may have heard that due to numbers we have two events, the bigger being the soiree where children who are not beginners have been invited to perform and hopefully some of their teachers will attend too. The choir will also perform at this event.

The Soiree is on Wednesday 25th June in the school hall to begin at 6pm. Due to numbers we have had to allocate two seats per family.

The second concert/assembly is for beginner recorder players who currently learn with Mrs Mewett and Mrs Staddon. Also beginner ukulele players, their teacher Lucy Broddle will be attending. We also have six beginner brass players in Year 4 who we hope will perform too. This session is on Tuesday 1st July at 9.20am in the school hall. Parents have been invited to this event, no limit on seating.

Lastly, if your child does play an instrument but doesn’t learn in school and wishes to perform at one of the events please see me and I will see what we can do!

Many thanks,

Mrs Mewett
