This week Mr Farrington told the story about St George and the dragon. A link was made to our "Four B's" which are designed to help children to be more independent in their learning.
We are encouraging the children to consider what to do when they are finding some work difficult:
First, we use our BRAIN.
Next, we ask a BUDDY.
Then we use BITS and BOBS (it might be a dictionary, word mat, wall display)
Finally, we ask the BOSS (the adults there to help us to learn!)
So George sat down to think, then he used Buddy (his horse), then he put on his armour, helmet and picked up his lance and shield (his Bits and Bobs) and finally he prayed to his Boss, before tackling his dragon!
