We were extremely fortunate
to have some amazing musicians in school on Thursday 23rd April. Led
by Hanna Trevorrow (Head of DASP Music) the group went on a musical quest
through time and musical eras to try to get their music back, which was
snatched by a witch during the Sorcerer’s apprentice music!
The children saw
many instruments being played; euphonium, trumpet, clarinet, bass clarinet,
violin, viola, cello, bass recorder, treble, descant, piccolo, piano… I’m sure
there could have been more!
Children learnt
about periods of music and were told about famous musicians who wrote the music
being played. Listening carefully and answering questions gave all the opportunity
to get the most from the session.
